04 — about
I started on a visual arts track, cutting whatever footage I could get hold of, and four years later I am doing the same thing for brands in five countries. The job has not really changed: work out what the piece is actually saying, then take out everything that is in the way of it.
Most of what I make is built to hold attention on a feed that is trying to take it away — hooks that survive the first second, pacing that works on mute, subtitles and motion that carry the point when the sound is off. The rest is long form, where the problem is the opposite: keeping someone for nine minutes rather than three seconds.
Right now I am full time at Simple Media, across concept, script, edit and delivery, and studying software engineering at Central Philippine University alongside it.
